The Calgary Wranglers defeated the Bakersfield Condors 4-1 at the Saddledome on Wednesday night to complete a two-game sweep of the Edmonton Oilers’ farm club.
Jonathan Aspirot, Colton Poolman, Ilya Solovyov and Emilio Pettersen scored for the Calgary Flamers’ farm-clubbers, and Oscar Dansk made 19 saves in the latest instalment of the Battle in Alberta.
Cam Dineen replied the the Condors, who received 37 stops from Olivier Rodrigue.
The Wranglers improved to 10-1-1 with their fourth straight win and now sit atop the AHL’s overall standings. The Condors fell to 4-6-0 as they lost their fifth in a row.
On Tuesday, Calgary won 6-3 when Jack Campbell — who was sent to the minors last week by the Oilers after clearing waivers — was in net for the Condors and allowed five goals on 26 shots.
The Wranglers next travel to California to face the Ontario Reign on Friday.
